Set of three nesting tables model 764 designed by Aldo Tura and produced in the 1950s.
This rare set represents one of the purest and most sophisticated expressions of Tura’s production in the post-war period, in which the designer developed a highly recognizable language based on the use of treated surfaces and unique material finishes.
The tops are made of goatskin parchment, worked and hand-dyed according to the distinctive technique of the Tura manufacture.
The surface displays an extraordinary chromatic depth, with warm brown tones moving through cloudy effects, irregular shades, and almost painterly variations.
Each table is therefore a unique, unrepeatable piece, where the material becomes the absolute protagonist.
The structures are slender and elegant, characterized by tapered legs and extremely refined proportions, visually lightening the composition and creating a perfect contrast with the richness of the surfaces.
The nesting system allows the tables to be used either separately or as a compact composition, making them extremely versatile.
This model perfectly embodies Aldo Tura’s poetics: a fusion of craftsmanship, material experimentation, and a sophisticated, almost pictorial aesthetic that anticipates decorative sensibilities that remain extremely contemporary even today.
Very good condition, with signs of time consistent with age and use.
The parchment surfaces show light traces of use, small variations, and superficial marks that contribute to creating an authentic and deeply fascinating patina. Structurally solid and perfectly usable.
An extremely elegant and rare set, ideal for refined interiors where it can be used both as a functional element and as a highly impactful decorative object.
Sold with a copy of the original period document and archive authentication.
